She says: “I didn’t start playing football to be here. The beauty of this, while it wasn’t a dream I could have ever had, now it’s a dream other girls can grow up having. My expectations are to learn from the very best in football. The beauty of this is that it is a dream that other girls can have. I am honored and that only happens with the best possible team. I want little girls to grow up knowing that when they put their mind to something, when they work hard, that they can do anything regardless of those things. I consider this a complete win. The biggest question coming in was would guys in the NFL respond to a woman coaching them, and the obvious answer is yes. It’s about knowing people, and the more you can relate to them, the more you can know them as a person, the better coach you’ll be. My interest has always been in the mental side of the game.”
