Well it is the time of year for transitions. As we transition from summer to fall, we also are transitioning our new leadership team. So the question is…what are you doing at your local Network to have a seamless transition and to welcome your new leadership team? The President-Elects have attended leadership academy and were given many tools to help they get ready for 2014.
We just had our elections at the State meeting in Long Beach and I know that your 2014 Leadership Team is already planning for their year which will start January. Heather Ozur has her planning retreat this week and I know many Governors and DVP’s are excited to start on their State leadership path. The purpose of the State Network is to support all of our local networks. We ask that when you attend the State meetings that you bring back the training and information to your local network.
As local network leaders, we know that you have your planning retreat planned and are working on your installation of your officers. We look forward to hearing about new and dynamic programs and to support you in your local network growth.
As this year wraps up, it has been a privilege in serving as your representative and State President this year. I have a wonderful team working with me in 2013 and couldn’t have done the job without their support. It has been a fun journey traveling within our State and speaking at many networks and at the forums this year. I joined WCR for the education and professional pride but I have stayed because of the friendships and business skills that I have learned along the way. In looking toward the next adventure, I will be working with many of you and will be continue working on our State strategic plan. Thank you for the opportunity of serving with all of you.
