As I sit in my room reflecting on an incredible weekend in Chicago at Leadership Academy I wanted to share with you some exciting new updates from National!
I attended as the incoming 2018 Regional Vice President for Region 8; which includes California, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Hawaii. I am honored and excited to serve at the National level representing all of these great states!
Your incoming President-Elect Cheryl Keller and the local incoming network Presidents for 2018 attended many training modules, from membership and events (yes events now takes the place of programs) governance, the use of project teams, utilizing the national provided website (this is mandatory) changing terminology from Chairs and Vice Chairs to Team Leader and Co Team Leader, and receiving 6 new Women’s Council Key messages, all very exciting!
National is setting up a new “Volunteer Town Square” data base for you to sign up online for volunteer positions we will see that up and running very soon!
A new Affiliation Agreement that lines out all the local network requirements will be signed by all 2018 Local Network Presidents in December of this year.
Wow we packed a lot in, we will share this and more with you at the Network Transition Workshops coming up this month!
We networked, had fun and we made video’s too!! We will have them for you at our October meeting!
Thank you to all who attended leadership academy, you now have the tools to get you started for 2018, we ask that you share that information with your networks, and to anyone who was not able to attend, please reach out to any of those that did attend so they can catch you up to speed.
Thank you for all of your support and encouragement, this year has been amazing!!!
With love and gratitude!
Theresa Wilson
2017 California State President
