July 30, 2002 Dear Friends and Family:I am writing to you as a friend of Danny Dougherty. I am sure you shared with me the feeling of sadness and shock upon learning that Danny, son of Mary Jane Cambria, and Tommy Dougherty and brother of Aloysious and Caesar Dougherty, was diagnosed with cancer. Danny is someone who will never cease to amaze you with his talents and adventures; he will make you laugh until you can’t stop; and he is also someone who provides a sense of relief, knowing that he is always there and will uplift your spirit merely with his presence. When finding out that he had cancer, his response was like that of a soldier, armed and immediately ready for battle. The best person fit to fight and overcome any medical challenge is Danny. Yet, today, I am asking that you join him during his recovery. It is difficult for each of us to witness a Danny, usually full of life, now, tired from chemotherapy; and a Danny, who is constantly working, now, not able to work. At a time when he must focus on recovery, finances are at the forefront of his thoughts. His cancer treatment and everyday living expenses are extremely costly. The best way I know that we can help Danny is by raising money to support his personal, medical and psychological needs. A fund has been established to receive donations to offset the hardship to Danny and his family. Please join me in lessening this financial burden by making a generous donation payable to Danny Dougherty and mailing it to the following address: Danny Dougherty c/o Audrey Nardi 21661 Brookhurst St. #215 Huntington Beach, CA 92646 I am asking for you to support Danny since, regardless of his unconditional nature to help others, he is also someone that you hardly find asking for help. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, I can be reached at (714) 315-7675. On behalf of all of his friends and his family we appreciate your donation, love and support. Sincerely, Audrey Nardi |
