Thoughts From Your Treasurer Now is a good time to review your chapters "Budget" and see if you are on track. A budget is a key component to the well being of your chapter. It is sort of a translation of your years Goals/Plans into numbers. Creating a habit of comparing your actual expenditures/income with your budgeted amounts on a regular basis can help keep your chapter on tract. You may find that some figures are different for example; expenses are higher then expected or income is lower then expected, now is a great time to see what's causing the difference and how you can get back on track. Try not to fall into the trap of blaming it on a "bad budget" instead, use the information constructively while there is still time. Budgets are your friend; they really help to keep your chapters running smoothly and efficiently. If ever any of your chapters need help in creating a budget or tracking it, I am available to help, I am just a phone call away. Warm Regards, Mary Jane Cambria, GRI, LTG 2001 Treasurer |
