GOVERNORS 2002 Chapter Updates for Southern Alameda County, Wine Country, Santa Cruz, Sacramento and Placer County. And Santa Cruz. The retreat at Santa Cruz was a great event and well attended by the Santa Cruz Chapter and the Sacramento Chapter, Betty Taisch and I from San Francisco certainly enjoyed the opportunity to relax a bit and get to know WCR members in a wonderful setting. Santa Cruz is doing well; good meetings, good attendance, new energy and new people. Sacramento is doing well and are looking forward to their Vaudeville show in June. Placer County's President, Yvonne, is focused on fun for her chapter this year and I will be attending their June meeting. Southern Alameda County continues to be a dynamic chapter and I have enjoyed their meetings. I am sponsoring their June meeting and of course will attend. Cynthia is a dynamic leader and is a joy to know. The Wine Country chapter has not had the opportunity to touch base with me as yet, and I am looking forward to another trip up to say hello. It is so rewarding to visit other chapter's, to hear their progress, and to get to know on a deeper level such dedicated leaders. The blessing of being a Governor is the interaction, the learning and the gifts each Chapter brings to WCR. I am looking forward to developing more interaction with each chapter. This has been a busy and challenging year, and it is amazing to see just how leaders juggle their home, their career, their community involvement and their commitment to WCR. I am impressed and would like to say thank you to each of you who have touched me life and helped me to grow. Carol Luckenbach
